“If”s
If I could, I would
Open flowers when it’s winter
Make the streets a safer place
For adventurers
To walk blindfolded
If I could, I would
Never correct my mistakes
Or cancel words
With a pen
I’d just make sure they were never made again
If I could, I would
Let grass never die and
Flowers never wither
I’d let nature live forever
Evergreen while humans fade
If I could, I would
Capture the sunset in my eyes and
Enjoy it in my mind
I’ll close my eyes and let its beauty
Enchant me, enchant me
If I could, I would
Rid the world of hate
Of jealousy
And anger, I’d never let them
Suffer
And if I could
I would simply stop
Wishing for all the ‘if’s
In the world
For they will never come
